STRESS AND TENSION

About 95% of today's diseases can be traced back to stress and tension in our lives. Our bodies are affected by stress and react in different ways. By relieving this tension and stress, reflexology improves blood circulation to allow vital nutrients to reach every part of the body. Signs of stress can be expressed by weight gain, poor circulation, digestive problems, increased nervousness, sleep disorders, shoulder and back pain and any number of complaints. However, the underlying problem must be solved before any long term progress can be made in terms of health.

Reflexology helps the body normalize itself into a state known as homeostasis, that is the Greek word for equilibrium and balance. Once a balance is achieved in the body, reflexology cannot harm the system by overworking the reflexes, it simply brings all systems back into balance.
