WHAT CAN AFFECT SENSITIVITY

If you don´t experience a little discomfort when certain reflexes such as the adrenal gland reflexes, the pituitary, pineal & hypothalamus reflexes are worked on, it could indicate blockages; crystalized fat deposits; retention of water or perhaps you are on medication which is preventing pain but causing side effects.

If you have had an accident, illness, cysts, use drugs, have just had surgery, or if you have calluses, corns or poorly fitting shoes, you will have sensitivity in the feet and hands where the reflexes affected are located. Stress and tension will definitely affect sensitivity as well as having had a prior injury but reflexology will help the body heal and balance itself naturally.

Some reflexes are sensitive even if one is perfectly healthy but conversely, it doesn´t mean you´re in good health just because you don´t feel anything either. Everyone should have check-ups with their family physicians annually and if there are problems let your reflexologist and doctor know. Traditional Medicine and reflexology complement and enhance each other.
