ANXIETY
Reflexology and various massage techniques relieve stress, emotional
imbalances, soothes and relaxes by working the reflexes such as
the solar plexus (a bundle of nerves located under the sternum).
Complementary to a reflexology session is drinking lots of water,
not to overtax the kidneys but to flush out the body, are herbal
helpers. Bergamot oil can be mixed with other herbs such as lavender,
geranium, lemon balm and anything you like. Store in a 5 ml bottle.
You don´t need very much oil of anything to really smell or
taste it. When you feel anxious, use several drops in your bath,
use on lamps, air vents, or use ceramic bottles, tiles or any small
container that can take some heat. I leave a ceramic ring on lightbulbs
and when they are lit, a wonderful scent is released. Aromatherapy
is very useful to soothe and relax and stimulate memories.
Herbal Helpers: Blend lavender, oats, linden flower, catnip and
lemon balm. Oats are food but they do have a medicinal effect. 1/2
oz each of dried herbs & oats. 4 tbs/quart of boiling water
for a full day´s worth of tea. Pour water over the tea blend
steep 10 minutes or so. Strain, add honey if desired and drink a
cup after each meal. Up to six cups a day.
ANXIETIES, FEARS & PHOBIAS
Reflexology & Hypnotherapy work hand in hand to alleviate these
problems.
While relaxing your body mentally & physically, reflexology &
hypnosis will uncover the root of the problem. By exposing the cause
your fears, anxieties & phobias will diminish or disappear
altogether. You will take control of your unresolved fears and rid
your body of the stress.
There are as many fears as there are people. Many fears begin in
childhood when the parents are inconsistent and do not meet the
needs of the child for love & security. Not meeting the basic needs
results in a fear of “impending danger” that threatens to destroy.
All fears can be overcome with proper treatment. This would consist
of exposing the fear which always diminishes the anxiety; looking at
the fear in a rational way also cuts it down to size and
desensitization are but a few methods. Creative visualization and
guided imagery are similar to hypnosis since you are very focused
inwards.
